The Barron County Housing Authority provides affordable housing opportunities for low-income residents of Barron County through its Multifamily Housing and Housing Choice Voucher Programs.

The Multifamily Housing Program provides a good place to live through its one-bedroom elderly/disabled apartments in Almena, Barron, Dallas, Haugen, Prairie Farm, and Turtle Lake, and three-bedroom family duplexes in Barron. Residents pay 30% of adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities.

The Housing Choice Voucher Program provides rental assistance for elderly, disabled, and family participants in the private market throughout Barron County, with the exception of the City of Rice Lake. Participants pay between 30% and 120% of adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities.
